WHAT TO EXPECT

Jesus taught and showed His disciples how to live.
As the Church, we continue in those same practices.

We Are Called To…

THE WORD | WORSHIP | PRAYER | FELLOWSHIP | MISSION

THE WORD

We believe the Bible to be the inerrant, living, and breathing word of God. We believe God calls us to study & obey His word in our personal lives while sharing it with the world.

“but whoever keeps his word, in him truly the love of God is perfected. By this we may know that we are in him…” 1 John 2:5

“Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching.” 1 Timothy 4:13

“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17

How We Teach:

Large Gathering Sermons (Youth Gatherings)
Small Gathering Bible Study (Neighborhood Groups)

WORSHIP

Worship isn’t simply the playing of music or the singing of songs. Worship is a state of being in which the praise of our lips is an overflow of our hearts. We as people are created to praise that which gives us joy. For the believer, the object of our worship and praise is God.

“…be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ…” Ephesians 5:18-20

“Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth! Serve the Lord with gladness! Come into his presence with singing!” Psalm 100:1-2

How We Worship:

Weekly Musical Worship at Youth Group
Quarterly Worship & Prayer Nights
Student Worship Teams

PRAYER

God not only allows His people to pray to Him, He delights in it. Through the work of Jesus on the cross, we are given access to speak with our God. In prayer, we seek to align our hearts with His.

“do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” Philippians 4:6

“‘And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.’” Matthew 6:7-8

How We Pray:

Weekly Prayer Requests at Youth Group
Quarterly Worship & Prayer Nights
Online Prayer Requests (Fill One Out Here)

FELLOWSHIP

We meet on a regular, weekly basis for a time of fellowship with one another. We spend time together in worship, prayer and the teaching of God’s word. In fellowship, God unifies His people as one through His Spirit.

“not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” Hebrews 10:25

“And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.” Acts 2:42

MISSION

God calls us as His people to be on mission – living a life that glorifies His name, that it might be known throughout His creation. We seek more than a conversion to Christ – we seek to make disciples of Christ through the preaching, teaching, and living out of His word.

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19

“For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? 15 And how are they to preach unless they are sent?” Romans 10:13-14

“So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.” Romans 10:17

“And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” Colossians 3:17
